91 Degrees In December

As I sit in my house listening to the pouring rain, I long for the beautiful weather we had a week ago when I spent a lovely Sunday afternoon with my friend Jana and her awesome family. It was an unusually sunny afternoon and everyone looked so cute in their Christmas attire. Although she doesn't look old enough to be a Grandma, she has the cutest little grand-daughter Rylie. Her kids are pretty cute too. All in all it was a fun afternoon - here are a few of the pictures from that day.

The Oh-So Adorable Mr. Conner

So this past Sunday I finally got to take some pictures of my friends' little boy Conner. He is almost a month old, and I was anxiously awaiting the "come take pictures" call. His mom and dad are really good friends, and I know they are going to be fantastic parents. They appear in many of my photos as I also shot their engagement, wedding, and belly pictures. Although we took a bunch of family pictures of them also, all of the pics below are basically of Conner. I will most likely post some more from this session in a later blog, but I felt Conner deserves his own little display - he is so stinkin' cute!

Not-So-Sunny Saturday...

Wow, what a busy weekend! I spent this past Saturday taking pictures for Kelly and Lee in Huntington Beach. All week I prayed and prayed that the sun would come out and it wouldn't pour all day. On the drive out there, it was like I was driving through a river...Yet, as I got off the freeway, the rain stopped and it turned into an absolutely beautiful (although windy) afternoon. This change in weather was fortunate, as it gave us the opportunity to shoot both indoors and out. In addition to Lee and Kelly, I got the fun of hanging out with their two sweet dogs, Minnie and Greta. Both dogs were little hams and loved being in the pictures. Here are just a few photos from the day.

Sunday With the Spences

So this past Sunday I spent part of the afternoon with the Spence family at Balboa Park. Despite the crowds in the parking lots, the park wasn't too crowded. It was a beautiful day, and everyone, especially their two Pugs Jack and Mikey seemed to really enjoy themselves. Below are just a few pictures from the afternoon...

Smiles of Miles

So last Saturday I had the pleasure of meeting my friend Ablla's little boy for the first time when I accompanied her, her hubby, and her son Miles to the pumpkin patch @ Irvine Regional Park. If you haven't been there and are near the area, I highly recommend it. It was a true old fashioned pumpkin patch - train ride, corn maze, haunted house - not like the little ones you see on the side of the road that look like mini-carnivals. Despite the drizzly weather, the place was packed. Thousands of pumpkins were scattered around the place, and Miles was fascinated by their bright colors. He was such an inquisitive, adorable little boy. I can't wait to take pictures of him again!

Coming Soon: Baby Conner

So this morning I got to take some belly-shots for my friends Cat & Dane. It seems like I was just taking their wedding pictures, and now little Conner is almost here. I am so excited for them - I know they are going to be amazing parents!

A Walking Tour of Hillcrest

So last Sunday I spent the afternoon with Lee and Trent. It was a particularly fun shoot for me, because they were so willing to try some of my crazy ideas (i.e. sitting by dumpsters). They are amazing people, and I had a really fun time as they showed me parts of Hillcrest that I had never seen, or noticed. Here are just a few pictures from their shoot...

A Furry Fun Adventure

So last Sunday was a first for me. I have taken pictures with animals before, but never 5 furry loveable dogs at once. I will be honest, I was a little nervous heading out, not knowing exactly what I had gotten myself into. Lucky for me (and my dog Chance's squeaky orange tennis ball, which I stole), these 5 were some great dogs. They were extremely well behaved and cooperative. Their owners were pretty great people too.
